Ella, Tyler, and I flew to Iceland on standby through my friend Jayce. The flight we hoped to get on only had two seats so Tyler and Ella headed out for a fun day in New York by themselves.
Tyler and Ella spent the day in manhattan. They made the standby at midnight on Thursday. Tyler had planned the trip so he knew how to get around and where to go. I hope to take the subway to manhattan from JFK and have dinner with them before we have to fly to Iceland. All told… they walked about 27 miles today. I did about 10.
I went home and slept a few hours and got back to the airport for a 9:30 flight. I made it on. Darren and Abby flew to Seattle and will meet us in Iceland. They sent us a picture of Abby with fish and chips. They are in Iceland at 7:30 AM on Saturday and we are just leaving JFK and will be there at 12:230 PM.

I saw the 9/11 memorial with them. Then walked to see the Statue of Liberty at Battery Park. Then back up to get on the Brooklyn Bridge and walk across. Then stop at Grimaldi’s to get some yummy pizza. 11:30 pm get back to the airport to wait for our delayed 3:30 AM plane to Iceland.
