Celebration month- March 2016

One of Abbys favorite things is to go to Story Time at the Library.  She loves her "Teacher" Ann.  And she love to sing the songs all week that she does there.  She loves to wonder what craft they will do that week.  They made a cute frog one week.  The tongue flipped out and was a hit.  Abby also gets to go shopping with Aunt Linda and I once a week.  We bought cookies one week and she wanted a carrot instead.  (she gets that from Darren!)
We enjoyed the Trafalaga Fun center one weekend.  Abby loved the Frog Hopper.  It drops you really fast up and down.  We also thought the rock climbing was fun.  Abby climbed higher then Journey and Ella.

I have a picture of Tyler in the dryer when he was 2.  So when he climbed inside of it a few weeks ago at the age of 10 I had to get a picture again.  Tyler wrote down his favorite things from the past year at school.  A couple of my favorite were...
9. I hiked Angels Landing
8 I rode 15 miles on my bike
6. I joined the track team
1. I learned organ
He had some fun times at the U of U medical classes he attended with friends and cousins.  The last class was pretty cool with some fun dissecting going on.  They boys were starving and quiet as they filled their bellies when they got to my house.
We gad a great time with cousins at Jennys hotel pool.  We are so excited she is moving down here.

Happy Mom moments in March

Its spring, and as much as I love winter and skiing, I love spring too.  Darren and I have said for years that we wouldn't want to leave Utah because we love having all 4 seasons.  I love Corner Canyon in my backyard.  So many fun trails.  And I love my backyard.  There are so many beautiful pictures we have of the barn and mnts.
I got to take a half a day off in March.  The kids were at school and I dropped Abby off at a play date in Provo and went to the Provo temple.  I treated myself to Great Harvest Bread after.  lovely bread.  Very lovely bread.

I took kids skiing several times.  They each and friends and loved skiing and zipping around.

I got to hang out with some of my sisters at a hotel swimming pool.  Big changes happening in my family.  Moving, babies, growing kids.
We also got to celebrate My In-Laws 40th wedding anniversary.  I thought 15 years was a lot for Darren and I but 40 is so much more amazing.  Its not the common thing anymore to have people stay together for 40 years.  I am grateful for their good example.  Corie had a lovely dinner and a movie she made for them.  We played a fun game to learn a few fun facts about them.

Ella's events in March

Ella had lots of events in March to celebrate over.  Besides turning 8 on Easter she was the Eagle of the Month at her school.  That means she was best kid in her class.  She has been working so hard to improve in her reading and math in Spanish.  I am so proud of her.

I tell Abby all the time that she is very lucky to have an awesome big sister.  Make up and dress ups galore.

Ella also had a big 2nd grade program with dancing and talking parts.  She had a short line to say and lots of dancing in the front row.

We love our neighbor Journey.  They are 2.5 years apart. but have a great time together every moment they get.  Rollerskating at Classic Fun Center.  Rollerblading at the neighboring church.  Lots of dancing and gymnastics all the time.  Ella also got to the to a fun birthday party at the Castle on Creek road for her friend Ella Hobson.  They had two fun princesses there!

Easter in Draper

We had a lovely Easter weekend.  It was so quite and peaceful.  We flew kites in the wind.  We celebrated Ella's 8th birthday on the Easter Sunday.  Kind of fun to turn 8 on Easter.  She wanted colored pancakes for breakfast.

We had a wonderful "Day Family Easter Egg Hunt" here in our circle on Saturday.  1200 eggs were stuffed and hidden in and around our lot.  Susan sure knows how to put on an exciting easter egg hunt.

We had the LaRivieres over for Sunday dinner.  I cant even remember what we had for dinner but it wasn't anything that required lots of work I know!  We decorated oodles of eggs.

Ellas 8th Dancing Birthday Party

Here are some fun videos and pictures of the party. .  They danced a lot.  Had SpaghettiO's.  Cookies and ice-cream.  Super cool treasure hunt with prizes at the end.  Ella felt very loved and excited to be 8!

I couldn't' fit the whole table in a picture at once.  But they ate so peacefully.  They all were hungry after so much dancing.  Then they started the telephone whisper game as they ate.  Girl parties are a whole lot more peaceful then boy parties!
