Amazing hike. Landmannalaugar - Skalli - Bláhnúkur (blue mountain) - 9 miles. 5.5 hrs. 2300 elevation. Incredible views. Snowfields. Glissading. The colors were so vivid. The lava field crept right up and they built the mountaineering camp at the base. Best hike ever with my family. Not sure why the pictures are loading backwards.
Stop and see the Sigoldufoss waterfall which was incredibly blue.
Then Drive to Hvolsvollur to camp. Pizza at Bjorkin and ice cream cones at the gas station. Doing laundry all night since the dryer doesn’t dry anything.
