January 2020

We got to go swimming with Aunt Jenny one day on a cold January day.  Its always fun when we just invite ourself to join them!
Abby and I spent lots of time on the mountain.  She sure has improved her skiing this year.  Abby would ski with her coaches until 12 but Tyler wasn't finished skiing with his coaches until 3:30 so we had some fun time.

Tyler made a long board in his woodshop class.  He made lots of really cool things actually!
Ella had her first tumbling competition of the season.  She did great!  I always love to see her perform.  Her strongest area is tumbling.

Every Tuesday and Every Saturday I was at Sundance coaching kids.  I know Darren really enjoys the backcountry and I am sure I would also if I could get back there but there is also something magical about the resorts and seeing kids learn to love skiing.  We got to go to a SMSEF sponsered event with a great speaker Craig Manning.  He studies the mind.  He told us to write in our journals every night.  3 good things you did that day and one thing you would work on.

Since Ella wasn't skiing with the team she spent several weekend with Darren and friend Helena skiing at some different resorts.  Helenas mom would take them to some fun places also.

We did run up to the cabin for Presidents Day weekend.  Lots of cousin time and friend Lauren.  The girls wanted to try the sauna again after the fun New Years even experience.  We did wake up one morning with our water heater leaking every where.  Darren and I were both headed out to exercise but our friends ended up coming over to out house to help with the water mess.

Abby is loving learning Mandarin Chinese.  She had a fun assembly and danced and sang in Chinese.

Darren got away on some more Dawn Patrol mornings.  Its pretty amazing the places you can get when you hike to them.  You get up early and then get to work fast afterwards!

Darren and I got some amazing seats at the Jazz game.  Great food... great date!
