October 2021

Darrens early morning hike.  He has worked so much this month, I am grateful when he can get away.

Tyler went to the temple and baptized all these kids.  His friends.  Cool!
I went to lunch with two college friends, Tiffani and Rachael.
Photos of me as a child.

Fall is amazing.  Its pouring rain in the house picture.  But the sun is shining through.  Lots of hikes and walks to enjoy the colors.

Abby, Darren and I got sick.  It wasn't COVID.  Abby was throwing up for three days.  My heart was so sad for her.  We all felt like crap.  Finally as she started to improve we could play games and she sure loved Battleship.

October was lots of garden produce.  We had so much.  And we could have had more but I didn't bring any green tomatoes.  It was a wonderful year of harvest.

Halloween 2021

Halloween was a fun day/weekend.  Ella and friends dressed up as pageant queens.  When it got cold they switched to some warm onesies.   They loved the chance to dress up cute.  Ella bought a dress from savers and cut it to how she would want it.

We got to stop over at the grandparents house.  They had lovely treats for all the kids.

Abby got to go to Cornbellies with a friend.  I need to remember to take my little Abigail to all the fun things Tyler and Ella went to.

Halloween Friday was great for Abby.  Dress up for school.  She was Dizzy from Descendents.  We had fun making her costume.

I went to a fun night of High Fitness with friends.  Glow in the dark halloween style.

Tyler was asked to the Halloween Dance.  He was late for most of the pictures so his date Rapunzel did photos without him.

Movie night at DPMS with Abby's friends.  Free drinks and popcorn.

Grand Canyon Fail

After months of training we set out on our big adventure down into the Grand Canyon.  We made it for one day and turned around.  Surprise Canyon is still a surprise waiting for us.  We read the GPS tracks wrong and were off track by about 5 hours.  We did find a beautiful arrowhead which we left there since the law says you have to.  When woke at 4:00 AM, drove 3 hours, hiked 5 hours until we were sufficiently off track and finally figured it out, spent hours trying to cross country hike back to our canyon, then saw the cliffs below us and no water below us to drink and had to quit and head back to the car.  We made it out in the dark but were grateful for the full moon so we could find the Cairns. We made it back to St George by 1:00 AM.  It was a heck of a long day.  The cactus's and yucca plants loved me.  I left with many sharp things in my legs that would take days to come out.

After a good night rest we stopped at the DI and bought some costumes.  We had to do some canyoneering and make a music video, Thriller!
