Our Alpe d'Huez

Last weekend (Friday night and Saturday) we watched the Tour of Utah. Friday's stage was a fast criterium downtown and Saturday's stage finished at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon (after climbing over Alpine Loop and South Mountain). 99 miles of torture if you ask most people. It was a good time because the race is gaining popularity even though this is only the second year. Many of the racers say it is the closest stage race in the US to the European races because of all the climbing. Anyhow teams such as Garmin/Chipotle and the controversial Rock Racing with the likes of pros such as Tyler Hamilton and Oscar Sevilla were in town. We had a great time.

Zipp, there they go.

The winner of stage 4 at the top of Little Cottonwood (Jeff Louder) a local for team BMC.

Kyle got passed on his road bike by a member of Garmin/Chipotle while climbing a canyon a little while ago.
