over the shoulder baby holder

I am trying to find a good baby carrying sling- I have one but it doesn't really help my back and neck feel that great if I use it for very long (thanks Rowie I do use it but know there are better ones out there now).

So I have done some research and found a good one called over the shoulder baby holder... but are there others that are easy, and not difficult to use. I need my back to feel better!!!

For me the cheapest and most effective thing to do was to get the book Baby-gami. Check it out from the library and it gives all sorts of good suggestions, with only a few yards of fabric. I'll show you on Saturday but I can tie up Edamame in about 4-5 yards of fabric, and it was better than any sling or carrier(my back was hurting a lot too). I love that book!

oh. i am glad i checked this
Sid loves to be held, so that is all i do...and I have done my research because my back hurts too!!
when he was young the one he and I liked the best was the moby wrap http://www.mobywrap.com/.see how to use on utube.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CamfWi0cEU8
they say you can use the moby for toddlers too, but it was not supportive enough for a heavy wriggly baby when sid grew.
the absolute best one, that i use now is the Ergo carrier. http://www.ergobabycarriers.com/
i carry him on the front mostly, but when i need to get things done around the house i carry him on the back. this carrier is amazing. I have done hours and hours of research and trying on stuff in shops...and selling ones on ebay that did not work out... this one is the best for Sid and I. I doubt there is a better one. but tell me if there is.

hey amy, can you get the ergo from somewhere you can return it if you don't like? I bought it locally from an outdoors type store. it is worth EVERY dollar for me. i use it every day for at least 3-4 hours, sometimes way more , so that puts the money in perspective for me.it puts alot of the weight on your hips but is is not as cumbersome as the big hiking backpacks.

Amy- Your back porch looks so nice! I love it! I laughed when you put finished... for now! That's seems to be how lots of mine go. I want to call it done at some point but still have so much more I want to do. Is that where you are at? To answer your questions, Mike watched Mason while I was at camp. He happened to just have online classes then, so it worked out nice! It was one adventure I tell you what! :) Also, we live about 2 1/2 hours away from the temple. It makes for a day trip, but it's nice. I am excited to see more pics from you guys! Your little girl is growing up! So cute!
