Two days in Whistler 2018

After staying a night in Settle with Rachels family we headed up to Whistler.  Not a bad drive when you leave early and avoid a lot of traffic.  The weather forccast wasn't looking good so Darren and Tyler wanted to ride Friday and Saturday.  The girls and I spent a few days together.  We found an awesome park in the village right next to the Olympic Park Plaza.  My ankle wasn't real happy so I tried to stay off of it when I could.  We got to cheer Darren and Tyler on also.

We got to go the the Sqamish Branch on Sunday.  Its a pretty small little branch.  About 10 members and usually 20 visitors.  The girls and hike and biked and relaxed.  We found a beautiful bike/hike path just outside of the village. Lost Lake Loop.   People were swimming.  It was cold water.

We hiked to a near by waterfall.

Lots of driving but we did ok.  We loved the hammocks.  I love sleeping in a tent with my kids.

Whistler 2018- Seattle First

We were all so excited for our first vacation after school got out.  A great trip to one of our places.  Whistler.  I love camping with my kids.  The drive isn't too bad since the kids are older.  I had an awesome crew to help me get packed up.  Tyler climbed into the extra large cooler.  (and a fun picture of Ellas freckles that I adore!)

We got to Seattle and dropped our stuff off at Rachels house.  We headed to Pikes market.  We ate some delicious food- peroskis, doughnuts and smelled the stinky fish!  Then we walked to the needle to see the amazing playground.

We got back to Rachels in time for a feast.  We got to walk to Alki beach and tried to get the kids settled down for bedtime.

Things to remember next time.
There is WiFi in Whistler village.
Church at 10:30 in Squamish
Showers at campground. No wifi.
Lost Lake. Swim. Towels. Floating device.

Savage Conference Philadelphia 2018

Darrens work had a work conference in Philadelphia this year.  Every year it is somewhere different.  I went to Phili when I was a teenager so it was fun to go as an adult.  Darren had never been.  We did a little sight seeing.  China town.  The oldest street in America.  It was flag day so Nikki and I got into the Betsy Ross house for free.  Neat and informational.

Lots of walking around.  We did a huge service project to start helping paint a mural that is going to go up on the side of a huge building.  It was like a huge paint by color project.  Then the artist will come back and blend the colors and paint more.

I adore flying.  Every time I fly i love it.

Grateful for family who could take are of my kids.  Renee had my girls for a few days and decided to make a party out of it.  She had a massive sleepover with all the cousins.

Jenny took the girls for a few more days and they got in some swimming.  Tyler stayed at home and the Larrabees house.  He had a campout and biking practice  so he stayed in Draper.
