November 2017

November was a busy month.  Moab for a 40th bday party, Moab with friends, Parents home from their mission, Thanksgiving and Cabin time.  But we fit in a few others things.

Tyler and Darren got in a good bike ride with friend Logan R.  Grandpa came down from Logan to be there for Tyler’s veterans program.  We had a nice fire night with smores.  Abby decided she was having a baby … or lots of babies.  We enjoyed rock climbing at the gym.  I got a calling in Young Womens to help the girls with Personal progress.  The ladies I work with are great … but I dont have the creativity they do.  But I can help get things done!

Ang had shoulder surgery.  She hung out here one night… but she is so tough I got to take her home the next day.  Her kitty cat needed her.

We had a commercial filmed at our house.  That was kind of exciting.

Abby’s preschool class made apple turkeys.  We had the Allens at our house for a few days.  They loved going to the library and reading books.  And they loved climbing at Momentum.  We stopped at Darrens work and had ice cream.  Even though it had been cold at Gardener Village but ice cream was still a must.

Parents - Home from Mission in Mexico

November 19… parents coming home from their mission in Mexico.  We filled up their fridge, hung some yellow ribbons and got ice-cream in the freezer for Grandpa.  But we got our bellies filled with pie night at the McBrides before we hit the airport.

We got to the airport.  Everyone was all smiles!  Waiting for them to walk down the hallway.  Lots of hugs! It was nice some of us got to see them in June/July when we went to Mexico.

It was late when they arrived so Abby had crashed in the car and didn’t even wake up through all the commotion.

A good group shot of the crew.  That was Saturday night.  Sunday we headed to Jenny’s house for a wonderful Thanksgiving Day dinner.  It was such a feast.  And good company.  Then We headed up to the cabin 3 days later. A few fun days all together.  Snow, hot cocoa, sledding, talents to show off, games, and puzzles.  We loved it.

Pedals Pipes and Pizza 2016

Tyler is a pretty great brother.  He loves cuddles and hugs from his sisters.  And he loves music.  I couldn't throw away the sweet love note Ella wrote to Tyler  several years ago until I took a picture of it.  " to tyler.  I hope you feel better soon tyler.  You are a great brother.  I love you more then infinite.
For the second year in a row tyler got to attend pedals pipes and pizza.  This year we got to go to three cathedrals downtown. Tyler got to play on all three.  I wish I could remember all their names.

Tyler also go to play for the primary program a few months back.  It was an amazing song.  So for his organ recital we recreated it with a violin.  Thanks aunt Jenny for sharing your talent.

Moab Get away weekend w/ friends

We spent two days with friends down in Moab.  I really enjoy my neighborhood.  There are so many good people in it.  After climbing some fun towers with our outdoor friends we had two more days with ward friends.  We got to stay in a beautiful condo and drive some fun razors.  Over bumps.  Down and up really steep rocks.  It was a new adventure.

The husbands all went out for a night ride. The wives enjoyed oreos and sitting cozy , talking at the condo.

We stayed up late hot tubbing and talking.  Slept for a few hours And then woke up super early to hike to delicate arch for the sunrise.  Hiking in the dark, watching for carines is tricky.  But we made it just in time to realize that there was too much cloud cover and we wouldn't see a sunrise. But it was beautiful.

We headed out for a bike ride.  And we ran into our bike shop friends therefor andys 40th.  We rode some great trails. My chain fell off at one point. So glad Darren was there.  Close by.

Then one last razor ride.  We 4 wheeled it to the top of a plateau.  What a view.  Great people.  Great weekend.
