April 2024

 

We had some great snow storms in April.  Darren and Ella made it out for some backcountry exploring. I made it up the canyon for a few last days at the resorts.    

Darren also go Abby a new bike.  She killed it the first few rides.  She has some GRIT.  Ella, Darren, and I rode our bikes to Provo to get some Mexican food and then rode back... about 70 miles.  

I love tucking in my kids but Tyler and Ella are often out too late or up too late for me to tuck them in.  Abby and I write in our gratitude journal and often read scriptures before bed.  We hang out with Tiggie and cuddle up for a bit.  I sure love those times.  

Also Spring.... These mini daffodials make me super happy.  Bike rides with girls up Corner Canyon. 

Abby is super creative.  She wanted to trick her friends so dressed up upside down when they came over.  Also, she is doing a piano duet with Tyler.  She has practiced so hard to get it down.  

Tyler had to miss school one day to fly to San Fran to get a Finnish Visa.  Quite the adventure for an 18 year old kid getting ready to head out into the world.  

Mom's trip to St George 2024- Day 3 &4

 Our third day was spent going down into Bloomington Cave.  We had a huge group.  Most everyone had a good time.  A new challenge and adventure for most of them.  

We all made it out alive and most of them wont ever go back.  We celebrated Valrees birthday.  (and Melissas). Most of the ladies took off for a spa day.  Three of us went and hiked the Vortex.  It was sunset and beautiful.  

The fourth day, Saturday, just a few of us went to Hidden Star.  Some great problem solving together.  Short and sweet.  Delicious hamburger for our late lunch. 

Mom's Trip St George 2024 - Day 2

 Day 2 we got permits for Pinecreek.  I knew it would be a long day and it was... but a good day.  Cold water, lots of swimming.  Everyone worked together so we moved fast.  Poor Melissa had a fever and aches the whole time.  She found out she had strep the next morning.  The swimming hole at the end was memorable.  

Mom's trip St. George 2024- Day 1

Wednesday.  3rd year now doing the moms get away trip.  This time we hit up a wet canyon first.  Wetsuits were super important.  It was cold.  We got permits for Keyhole.  Short and sweet.  Great practice.  Then stopped at the Hobbit Hole after.  Yummy pizza dinner at the usual in Virgin. 

 

Moab with Nolan and the boys

We headed to Moab with Nolan and his boys.  It was super fun to have Sandra bring her family too.  We did some biking at Bar M with the whole crew on Friday.   On Saturday we did some biking at the Navajo mnt bike trails.  When it got cooler in the evening we headed to Hunter Canyon to explore and find the waterfall at the back.  On Sunday we made it to church then canyoneered Pool Arch.  We had a big group which took some time to get through, but it was memorable.
