City of Rocks #2

Friday-  I couldn't sleep in knowing there were climbs right out side our tents that needed to be climbed.  We are camping at Bread Loaves and there are several fun climbs around there.  Upper Bread Loaves West

Lots of excited kids up on the wall.  The Larkins and Allens showed up late on Thursday night so we were all together.

We headed over to Practice Rock after breakfast,  - Kids loved climbing on some easier climbs.  The sun was coming out so we couldn't stay for too long.  After climbing we had lunch and sat in the shade at our camp site and ate and played games.  Corey was bored out of his mind with his boot on his foot.  It wasn't long before he showed us all how to climb with a boot on.

We decided to head back to the Drilling Fields. There are five climbs from 5.4-5.9... and harder if you are awesome on slab. The shade was a welcome relief.  Kids pushed limits and climbed more... and some were tired of climbing and stopped.  But the adults loved it ... even the dirty ropes that made hands black.  We got done climbing and found a storm was rolling in.  We stopped to wash our hands at the pump but saw that the STORM WAS REALLLLLLY rolling in.  We ran to the camp site and it was a total down pour.  Jennys tent was blown around pretty bad.  The "girl" tent had water in it.  We were relieved when the storm passed on through 20 minutes later.
