We had planned to stay until Sunday but the weather was going to go from 80 to 45 as the high! so we packed up Saturday morning. The girl had made "Cactus Cakes" which looked lovely :). We headed to Bath Rock and almost everyone made it to the top thank to the rebar. Jenny and Asher waited at the bottom. What a view.
We only had a few hours of good weather so we headed over to Castle Rock. Keaton wanted to do a multi-pitch. We got in Big Time which was 5 pitches but we were able to do it in 3 up and rappel 3 down. We got off the climb and to our car just as the rain started. It was perfect. There is something about climbing on rocks that makes me so happy. The kids were at the bottom climbing or chasing lizards. Such a fun day. As we drove away we literally were being chased by the storm. Semi trucks were blown over. trees falling down. I was in the bathroom at a gas station when the power went off. Snow, rain, hail, wind...we were sure glad were weren't in a tent!
