Cabin for New Years 2021

 The cabin for four nights was a highlight of the year.  The first two days were Harston family time.  Rest and Relax.  I wish I could go back!  Some families came up just for the day, some stayed over night.  We had a fun challenge for Soren, Abby and Miles.  5 tasks to complete and gets points for each one.  puzzles. art, word challenges.....

This is a true sign of the love up at the cabin.  So much fun.  wake up, eat, dink around, go outside, come in and get warm, eat lunch, dink around, go outside, come in and get warm, eat dinner, play games, sit by the fire, go to bed, repeat! We had 5 families up for New Years.  I love that Jeana and Chad live next door so they can come up with the other neighbor friends.  We drove the Ranger, played game, ate food, played in fresh snow, stayed up late and rang in the New Year with drinks and kisses all around.  Heres to 2022!

Christmas 2021

 

We only took one picture of Christmas morning.  How did I forget?  Pat and Seth were with us.  The kids loved Christmas.  I am not good at gifts other times in the year so I want to give them a fun Christmas.  Tyler has been working hard all year to build some cool structures to go around the train track.  So creative.  

Darren got great tickets for Seth, Tyler and Ella to go to the Jazz game.  They got the VIP treatment with great food and desserts.  Pat, Abby and I drove around to see some lights.  Then we watched a fun new movie with treats.  Tyler played in two different wards on Sunday.  It was beautiful. 

  

On Monday the roads were not great so we opted to stay in the valley instead of heading to the cabin.  It was great to have cousins over to play all day.  

Charlie the Elf

 We have Charlie come visit every year.  He appears on December 1st and reports back to Santa on the 24th of December.  Abby loves to find him as soon as she wakes up.  He leaves a treat and is always up to something. 

December 2021

We had a fun December.  It was especially fun because there were only three weeks of school!  

Abby and Charlotte had dressup crazy time and a few movie nights.  

 

Gingerbread houses/Oreo house with my activity days boys.  

Balls family time for Jonahs Birthday.  We also watched the Christmas Devotional. 

I finally broke down and got deadly with the woodpecker who has been pecking at our house for two years.  We tried everything and it wouldn't leave us alone. 

I turned in Tylers skis- we have been getting skis from Utah Ski and Golf since he was 2.  Best program ever! 

I loved my birthday- 42!  I took a nap, had lunch with friends and did a puzzle.  I got to climb with Darren that night and get an ice cream from Iceberg. 

The Larkin Christmas Party was a blast.  I was so glad we got the mask in Peru for a treat white elephant gift.  Amber loved the wife beater and Snoop Dog cookbook. 

Tyler got to go to the dance with his friend Emma H.  We like her and they had a great time.
