April 2015 Easter, Snow and Gardening

What a crazy month.  We had beautiful weather.  Pants and leaves coming out on the trees.  It was so warm.

I want to document a few things so I dont ever forget.  Ella is a super special little girl.  She is going to be the best mom ever.  I am not sure what my life would be like without her.   She is Abby's second mom.  She wants to play with her.  She loves to take care of her.  She knows how to talk to her to get her to do things.  It is a super special relationship.  (below you can see a picnic outside while they look at their rolly polly bugs they caught.  And you can see Ella's first attempt at face painting.  She was so proud... I was a little scared!)

Abby grew up fast.  She has her spoon in hand to help me make cookies.  She loves to cuddle and have me read her books.  She was fascinated with taking care of her babies for a long time.  Changing their diapers, dressing them and putting on shoes.  She thought the snow was amazing.

We spent one afternoon with Nolan and Corie.  The kids rode their bikes all over.  Corie fed us good food and I tried to help her get organized from their move.

Our neighbors do an annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Its pretty amazing with over a thousand eggs and prizes for everyone.  (I loved finding eggs hidden even two months after the hunt!)  If anyone wants an amazing egg hunt next year, please come!

We did get one more good snow storm.  Ella spent the day out there building.  I was so proud of her effort.  I got the camera to take pictures and she leaned a little too much on it and it tumbled...

But in general the weather was warm.  My neighbors and I tackled the project of tilling up part of the grassy lot next to our house.  (Its their daughters unused property, that we figure we will use until she builds on it)  I cant take the credit for it, but I helped a little.  We planted tons of pumpkins and rows of corn.  Next year it should be less work since we have already got the ground ready.
