Escalante Girls Trip Day 2

We got to sleep all in a tent together.  Each night sitting around a camp fire and listening to Ang play her guitar.  I love these trips.   The next day we dropped into Egypt 3.  Nothing too technical.  Amazing narrow canyon.  So narrow you were constantly scratching both sides of your body on the rocks. We attempted to go past Egypt 3 but the water and escape pothole had us stuck and we didn't have enough time.

Escalante Girls Trip Day 1

Ang's ankle was too busted to do much backpacking so we opted for the Spring Girls Trip to be a car camping adventure.  We camped out in the BLM by the Grand Cathedral.  What a beautiful hike.  The walls were amazing.  Neon canyon full was amazing.  There weren't any keeper pot holds to make it difficult.  We swam through plenty of cold water.  The view at the end was magical.

St George Mom Weekend - Friday

Yankee Doodle and Boltergeist were great.  I tried to just step back and let the ladies lead.  They know enough to do a pretty good job.

St George Moms Weekend - Thursday

Thursday we headed over to Island in the Sky in Snow Canyon. We did this last year and it was rough.  This time we breezed through it with a smaller group and a much more knowledgable group.

St George Moms Weekend - Wednesday

Fun neighborhood moms weekend away.  We drove down to the east side of Zion.  There was snow on the ground so we were limited to what we could do.  Lots of mud and water in the slots so we had be very selective on what was feasible.

Dianas throne was nice and simple.  Super family friendly.
Then we hiked up to the man made sand caves.  But we had to make it in time for dinner at River Rock Roasting.

Sand Caves one hour stop- good shoes!

Dianas Throne -3 hrs  Right off main road, kind of 3 rappels

River Rock Roasting Company closes at 9:00

March 2023

March was packed with snow storms.  What a treat.  It was just beautiful outside.  Hopefully we won't have too much flooding in April.

Movie night for Abby with friends.  Ella finally sinking into reading good books.

iCup race in Santa Clara.  Nolan and the boys came and did it with us.  Then we got to go enjoy the St George house for the first time.  The Lagoon was COLD but kids got in for the bribery of a snow cone.

Abby went hiking with Nolan and the boys to Red Rocks... a place I still haven't gone to yet.

Ella headed out to California for a National Bike Race with the Montagues.   It was a great learning experience even though she got pulled/lapped on the first day of racing and was struggling to breathe on the 2nd day of racing.

Tyler got answered to Prom.  Natalie said YES, she was popping to go with him.  They are pretty darn cute together.
I got in one last ski day with Robyn and Amy Ringer.  So much powder this year.  The Lakes and Larkins also got a fun date night in for karaoke.
