Upper Red Castle Lake- Day 2

We camped at Lower Red Castle Lake.  On our second day we hike 4 miles round trip to Red Castle Lake.  We had to remind kids that they didn't have a backpack on so it was great.  I hiked up to Upper Red Castle Lake and took a quick swim.  The kids didn't want to go that extra two miles.  Eric, Isaac, Tyler and Darren hiked 14 miles on that second day.  They hiked with us up to Red Castle Lake then hiked all the way up and over the pass then around the whole castle.  Their legs were really tired!  The kids had a great time with Jenny and I.  We didn't swim but we waded into a nice little lake that was warm.   It was nice to soak our feet.

Red Castle Lakes- In and Out

Jenny and I wanted to take out kids on a backpacking adventure.  We chose Red Castle Lakes because I had heard it was beautiful.  It was ... but it was also very popular and there fore lots of people who don't take care of things!

We hiked in 10 miles.  That was a bit ambitious and next year we will scale back a few miles.  By mile 6 kids were dragging but I am so proud of them.  They did a great job.  We got to have a fire and soak our feet in the lake.  Our dehydrated meals were amazing.  We all slept great!

July 2020

Here are a few things from July.  No particular order... just a fun and busy and HOT month.  Darren took the kids up to Gloria Falls.  They had already gone but he hadn't.  Super glad they had fun.  Then they came home and slept outside.  I was in the Uintas with my girl friends.

Darren got out on a few beautiful runs.  He had some great bike rides with Tyler.

We loved having beautiful big blossoms on our Magnolia Tree.  A tree we both love so much.  My kids are growing.  Tylers feet are just big!  I have been enjoying Crossfit.

Aunt Jenny is the best and took the girls shopping.  They learned all kinds of good tips of how to find good deals.  Ella had 4 teeth pulled to prepare for braces.  She is one tough girl!

I love seeing my girls be together.  Painting their nails on the lawn.  I love my garden and seeing it grow.  I love talking to my friends from high school- Kirsty in Australia and Tawnie in St George.  I love good food especially when it comes from my garden!
