Lincoln City, Oregon with the Balls family Day#1

On our way out of Bend Oregon we stopped at Costco and bought food for the week at the Beach.  It was Darren's Birthday and Whit got him a balloon.  We went for a hike at Cape Lookout State Park out to a peninsula.  There was some mud and water on the trail. Darren helped hold Hadley on the way back since her nap time had past and she was exhausted.  Fun to see cousin time.

The kids were eager to get back and get to the beach.  I took a nap.  Wet suits all around.  Sand castles.  Building a dam to block up the water.

Ice cream and cookies to celebrate Darren.  Watch the Tour de France each night.  Delicious easy food and sunsets.

Bend Oregon with Nolan and the Boys

We camped again at Tumalo State Park.  It's a lovely spot.  We jumped in the creek across the street and played some football.  Then we biked around town with our big old bike gang.  Bend is magical.
Next morning we hit the trails.  Darren took a group on an all day ride.  I took the slower group on a shorter ride.  They hit a waterfall, jumps and the terrain park.  We hit logging activities that made us go out and around.

It was late but we made it to the river.  We got to float down and enjoy the water.  It was a bit chilly but Pat an Seth made it to Bend in time to watch and have dinner with us.

The next day we headed out of town to a new biking area.  Darren led us on a longer ride that we tried to stay together on. Jackson did take a wrong turn and got lost for a bit.   I found a good swimming hole close by to cool off and have lunch at.  Then off to Lincoln City to see all the Balls family.

Dog Lake Backpacking w/the girls & SBO camp for Tyler

Amber planned a great backpacking trip. (I love that I didn't plan it at all and just got to show up).  We had four great moms, Abby, Kathy, Amber and Myself. All our girls were there along with Rachel, a friend.  We hiked from Mill B South to Dog Lake.  We had a lovely spot to camp.  Then next morning we hiked over to Desolation Lake.  Then hiked back to grab our packs and head home.  Short and sweet.  Great learning experience for the girls to see how backpacking wasn't too hard.  In N Out at the end was delicious.

Tyler spent three days in St. George at a Leadership Camp for all the SBO/class officers for the upcoming school year.  I love that he gets to experience so many new things.

4th of July Weekend in Logan and @ Home

We spent our 4th of July weekend with Pat and Seth in Logan.  Darren had the great idea to bring out bikes so we could bike around Utah State.  It's were we started and now we have grown to a family.  I hoped our kids felt excited as we biked around to see the fun life that comes with college.

Darren took the kids on a bike ride with way too many mosquitoes.  They did make it home alive.  I organized and clean the kitchen.  We also spent some time outside working on the yard.  Seth's back is not doing well and we wanted to help.
We made it back to Draper to celebrate with neighbors.  Water slide, BBQ and Abby even fit in a Rodeo.
