Seattle stop over

After Bend we got to spend two nights at Rachel and Robs house. The kids were eager to be out of the car.  Rachel had lovely food for us as always.  We got to go to her church then down to Ballard Locks.  We got to hear a John Phillip Sussa band.  I wish I could have enjoyed it more but with the Locks so close we were back and forth.  But after the concert and after the boats had gone through the locks we got to walk around the gardens.  So lovely.   

Silver Falls State Park- Oregon

On our way from Bend Oregon to Seattle Washington we stopped at a cool spot.  So glad Amber told us about it.  

• Silver falls state park.  6.0 miles to see 7 waterfalls.  Hiked it fast so we could get to Seattle.  Abby was awesome.  Darren got her going full speed the whole time.  I could spend a long time there.  Every corner had an amazing view.  

Lots of Christmas tree farms there.  Rows and Rows of trees!

Bend Oregon 2019

We have been to Bend once before.  We enjoyed it so much we went again on our way to Whistler.  The pictures are a bit out of order.  But we loved the trip.  Lots of time on bikes and on the river.

Friday. 

• Long ride Darren and Tyler.  
• Float river 

Wednesday.  

• Tumalo waterfall. 20 min from lunch. 
• Kids bikes down with Darren then Ella and Tyler biked with me to Phil’s trailhead. 
• Set up tent. Had early dinner.  Checked out 
• Tumalo state park.  Floated river with Darren for a short stroll. Bed early 9:30. Slept until 8:30 am.  

Thursday. 4th of July. 

• Family ride/long ride

• Kents to Phil’s for girls. Bends. Upper and lower whoops. Phil’s. Kents. 

• Float river.  Busy for the fourth. Loved the rapids.  Dinner at drake park
• Ice cream gelato. Ella loves coconut lime. 
• Didn’t make it to 10 pm fireworks. 

Saturday

• Pack up. - 6:15 hours to Rachels
• Meet Pam in Redmond. Lava caves. 
• Silver falls state park.  6.0 miles to see 7 waterfalls.  Hikes it fast so we could get to Seattle.  Abby was awesome.  Darren got her going full speed the whole time.
