Ella and Tyler were pretty independent this summer.  Abby was too, but I also wanted to keep her occupied so she wouldn't sit and watch shows all the time.  They played "college" in the basement.  Evelyn is a sweet friend.  The Utah Harstons gathered for Grandpas birthday at my neighbors pool.  I enjoy spending time in the garden.  I love the fresh berries and lovely produce.  

Ella is getting better and better at taking naps.  The high school team wakes up early 3 times a week to ride at 6:30 AM.  Ella is super strong.  Darren would say she is the fastest girl on the team, or at least one of the top fastest girls on the team and she's a sophomore.  

Abby got the Get Out Pass for Christmas.  She did an escape room with friends.  Fish Kiss to get the dead skin eaten off their hands.  A ropes course up high.  She loves to roll down the window and let the wind blow her face.  Abbys mind is always think and asking questions.  She is very creative.  

Darren got to enjoy a few bike rides after work.  He has been staying busy at work, which I know is hard for him.  It's tooo busy.  

Abby did a few more get out pass things with cousin Liesel and neighbors.  Bowling, Aquarium and more fish kissing.  She got to feed the Parakeets which she loved.  Another day she got to go roller skating with friends.  

FSY @ BYU with Tyler & Ella

Ella went to FSY with Lauren in July.  It took her a few days to adjust but then she loved it.  She loved the dances and the testimony meetings the most she said.  They had a beat box talent show that she also loved.  

 

Tyler went with Merritt in June.  He made a point to talk to everyone in his group and get to know each of them.  He had a great time.  He also loved the dances and the testimony meeting.  He got out to bike and run in the mornings.  I am grateful for a community that gives and serves and works together to grow.  

Bear Lake Harston Reunion Day #2 & #3

 On Saturday Ella, Darren and I rode around Bear Lake.  I had a light weight road bike. Ella had her Mnt bike and had already ridden 90 miles that week.  Abby went for a hike up Logan Canyon.  Then we wall went swimming at the pool.  Fun to take over a pool and enjoy it so much.  We had raspberry shakes after and enjoyed the fireworks in the beach that night.  

On Sunday we attempted to go to church but it was very full.  But we had time to relax, do puzzles and eat good food.  We had to leave Sunday night so we could say hi to Pat and Seth for dinner.  Then we needed to get Ella home to pack for FSY.  

Bear Lake Harston Reunion Day #1

 We got to enjoy a few fun days at Bear Lake with the Harston clan.  Almost everyone was there.  Tyler had left for Guatemala already so we missed him.  The first day we rented a boat and enjoyed tubing with the kids.  So many brave souls.  Jumping in the water was great.  We had tons of paddle boards and kayaks too.  We even went and poached a swimming trampoline that was floating out a ways.  

Darren and Ella went for a nice bike ride up in Logan Canyon.  

We had plenty of good food each meal.  Time to visit and socialize . Kids crashed everywhere: closets, hallways, under the stairs.  Darren and I had the best room in our truck camper.
