Twin Peaks date with Darren

Darren and I have been trying to go on weekly dates.  I wish we would have started that sooner in our marriage but its tricky.  The date this week was to go on a hike and see how far we could get.  In my head this meant see how far we get... In Darrens head it was lets get to the top.  Beautiful steep hike.  It was a lovely time to spend together.  Getting down just as it got dark and grabbing dinner.  What a lovely day.  

 

September 2022

Some great hikes in September.  It was beyond lovely to not be working for Canyons School District.  I loved it.  Red Pine Lake, Ferguson Canyon, Hughes Canyon and waterfall was dreamy and misty, Mnt bike rides with friends in Corner Canyon, 

Tyler gets to drive to school now,  what a beautiful sunrise we had one morning. Tyler also got to go to Homecoming with Natalie L.  I loved their shoes and how grown up he is getting.  

Abby had some fun events in September.  Draper Cultural Days with friend Charlotte.  Crazy hair day at school.  Draper Dragon Dash- running a race.  Lots of tumbling and learning fast with Ellas helping her out. 

Icecream party with Grandpa.  Fun to play games and sit around and visit.  Tyler did a pretty good size bubble.  

Lots of bike riding.  Tyler had a 17th birthday in which his friends surprised him with a party.  

Soldier Hollow Mnt Bike Race 2022

Tyler and Ella had a Mnt bike race out at Soldier Hollow.  Abby and I are great cheerleaders.  Darren is coach/dad of the year.  Tyler worked hard in the Varsity category.  Ella podiumed in the Freshman category.  Abby and I play games and snack on food.  Darren runs around helping kids.  I am so grateful for the friends they have made while on the team.  

 

Activity Days Triathlon- ABBY!

I am in charge of Activity Days for the boys in our ward.  I wanted to do a triathlon with them so then I need to open it up to the girls too so Abby could do it.  It was a great success.  I wanted to remember how the first date was 106 degrees out, so we cancelled it.  The second date was raining so we canceled it.  The third date was raining until it was time for the triathlon.  It was beautiful and sunny for the two hours then started to rain.  What a cool thing.  What great support from the community.  I loved it.
