November 2020

 We loved talking to Aunt Nellie and family on the phone.  We found out we are going to have another baby cousin.  

Ella loves taking pictures.  I often find lots of pictures on my phone from her.  Ella also had a fun church activity with the Young Women for making cakes.  It turned into a fun family activity too!

Abby got to go out on a hike with some neighbor kids.  My brother Chad has his picture up in the local park to celebrate Veterans Day.  

Darren made a Boston Cream Pie.  We ate one and took the other to Bishop Gordan and family.  We loved having Nolan and the boys live with us for a few months.  When you have cousins almost every weekend its built in fun.  

Darren and Tyler took off to Moab for one last weekend.  

Covid Thanksgiving 2020

 The Governor over Utah asked people to not gather for large family gatherings.  What a different Thanksgiving we had. My parents went to eat with Great Grandma Harston and Aunt Linda.  We had our neighbors over... Jeana and Family.  Darren and Jeana cooked up a storm.  It was an absolutely delicious feast.  I LOVE the food at Thanksgiving.  I have so many rich fun yummy memories as a kid.  Lots of running around with cousins and grazing on food all day.  Then uncles sleeping by the tv or watching the games.  

We had some zoom calls with family.  I forgot to get one with Darrens family.  And that was it.  Nice and Simple.  

Lakes Larkins Moab pre-delivery

 We headed to Moab for a quick get away with the Larkins and 38 week pregnant Vy and Steve Lake.  We headed to SunSeed Canyon up Kane Creek.  Lots of hiking up the stair stepper trail.  Then 2 rappels.  The last one was big and beautiful.  

The next day we headed into Arches and did Dragonfly Canyon.  We weren't expecting water but I fell into the first pot hole up to my chest.  I had to strip everything off to put on what ever dry clothes we had.  It was not warm.  It was neat to come out through Courthouse wash onto the road.  Kevin was coming down the last rappel and his phone fell out of his pocket about 100 feet up.  There were boulders all over the base but somehow the phone fell right in the the only small spot of muddy water.  It wasn't even scratched.  If it had gone 3 inches to any side it would have been shattered.  

We did get out on two razor rides.  One to Canyonlands and Mesa Arch.  So glad Vy didn't go into labor on some of those bumpy roads.  She wasn't worried about it!

Family Photos 2020

 My Mom asked my Dad to take some family photos of all of us for her Christmas Gift.  We all thought it would be a great idea.  

The Notch hike with Corey and Boys

A great hike Darren went on in November.  Corey brought his boys.  Tyler was hurt and couldn't go.  Its supposed to be know for its huge vertical drop.  You can see a tiny person in a blue shirt in the picture with a shadow person taking taking a picture.  the rock is huge!
