October was kind of the "cancel everything month and get the outdoor kitchen done". Darren was amazing. I was his little side kick when I could help. We mixed, dyed and pored the cement. Then of course he had to sand it a half dozen times. (We got Nolans boys to come stay with us for a weekend which was fun amidst the chaos)
Our bedroom has all kinds of kitchen things in it. (I am typing this in November and we still have a bunch of dutch oven stuff in our bedroom) . I was in charge of mixing the cement and adding the charcoal color. Not sure why so many friends stopped over on the day my face was half black. But by the end of the weekend we had counter tops and faux rock.
Abby read me a book about dying carnations so we tried that experiment. Chad was in town for a few days and had a few fun cookouts. We live in a beautiful valley. Tyler and Darren got out on a bike ride or two. We adore Tylers piano teacher- Lindsey Lee Pope - incase anyone wants an amazing teacher. Ella competed in her first meet- it was an informal meet. She is working on conquering some fears.
And Halloween- We invited Aunt Linda to come with us this year. Not sure how I didn't get any pictures with her. But sure loved cousins around. And of course it had to be cold that night. Tyler is a stick figure- creative!
