A weekend with Cousins

We got to hang out with some fun cousins the other weekend.  It was a great weekend.
We walked to the park Saturday.  It was so warm.  We ate treats when we got there.

Jonah got to ride his bike a lot while they were here.
His little legs got some exercise.  Everett enjoyed the stroller.
They are such sweet little brothers and friends.  They love to play together.
Read together
 they are good little friends.
We can't wait until we can do it again.

Winter hike up Green Canyon

We went to Logan a few weekends ago.  We took a nice hike up Green Canyon.
Aunt Nellie and Grandpa were a great asset with 4 little squirts.

Tyler, Nellie and I hiked up pretty high.  He is a strong little hiker.

Cabin weekend and Train Expo

This last weekend my dad, candace and kids, and my kids went up to the cabin.  It was pretty reminiscent to think back on the days (that didn't seem that long ago).... so many times as a child I hiked in from this gate.  back pack on my back.  sinking deep into the snow with every step.

And now, I am a mom. Doing it with my two kids.  Pretty crazy.  I don't feel that old yet.  Tyler was a trooper.  Ella is just 3 so the snow was a bit deep on her.  I actually had to leave her sitting in the snow and told her I would come back for her with empty hands to carry her in.
What a feast we had.  Good food, relaxed atmosphere and a warm fire roaring the whole time.
The river was beautiful as we drove in.
The kids have a great time together.
The boys learned to play checkers.  Tyler loved it and wanted to play everyone over and over again.
We left the cabin and met Grandma and Grandpa Balls at our house.  A cool train expo was in town.  It was so fun to see Tyler get so excited about all those trains.  They had a whole lego train exhibit.  We spent a lot of time there!

A busy month- Darren in Texas

Darren flew to Texas for a short 36 hours.  He took some great pictures for Tyler.
This is a place that Savage owns and operates.  This is Sulphur used for fertilizer.  Tyler loved the conveyer belts that came from the trains that led to the ships where the stuff is shipped away.

I think it actually looks rather beautiful... that yellow is so bright.
