Friday May 7, Rincon De La Vieja National Park- This was probably my favorite day of the whole trip. We actually didn't go in the park, just outside of it. We had a guide take us to Catarata La Leona It was a 3.5 mile round trip hike. There was beautiful water all over. I could have played all day. If you're going check out the facebook page Catarata La Leona. Cliff jumping, caves, waterfalls. I had 5 or 6 more places to go besides this spot but there just wasn't time. It isn't so commercialized yet!
After this adventure we had to grab food. I will miss the yummy food forever. Plantains and beans for days. Then we went to get Covid tested. We couldn't get back into the USA unless we had a negative test. This was the most expensive excursion we did! so dumb! We all got negative tests. thank goodness. For dinner we left the kids with food and treats at the AirBnB and the adults went to Father Roosters. It was a lovely place by the water.
