Dead Horse Lake- Uintas

I could write so many details about this amazing trip.  It was full with so many memories.  But here is the short version.  We hiked in 9 miles to Dead Horse Lake.  It just got more and more beautiful.  As we got closer to the lake the wild flowers were amazing.  The waterfall just below the lake was beautiful.  It was so nice to talk as we hiked.  We set up our tent and had some good dinner with a fire.  The next day we slept in and then hiked up Dead Horse Pass.  It looked terrible but wasn't that bad.  We found two different lakes we could swim in.  We met some people who were hiking the Highline trail.  Over 100 miles over the Uintas.  I would love to do it next year.  The third day we hiked back out.  It is good for you soul to be outside and to have good friends to talk to.  Katie brought her little dog Nimh.  She was a great little hiker.  Her little legs got tired!
