April 2020- Quarantined

April was pretty well locked down to a quiet stay at home month.  I loved it.  Here are some highlights.  We baked.  Chimichanga's with cream cheese and strawberries.  Oreo cookie balls were delicious.  Abby learned to make scrambled eggs.  Decadent brownies with frosting (with 6 cubes of butter!)

We got to listen to General Conference.  The prophet asked us to have a worldwide fast.  There were many reasons but basically for COVID-19.  Ella has some amazing young women leaders who brought her Queso and chips just in "Queso you forget" to watch conference.

We had a lovely Easter.  We hid some eggs around the Saturday before Easter.  Abby drew a map to explain that Ella got the eggs with flowers and Abby got the blue eggs.  Abby is so good at writing down lists and being organized.

We went for lots of walks.  Lots of walks.  There was homework to do.  We were grateful we had checked out Chrome Books from the schools so we could do homework more easily.

We enjoyed Harry Potter Hour- or sometimes two hours!  We did puzzles, did legos, stickers, anything... just enjoyed relaxing and listening to the books.  Then we watch the movies.  (It is the end of May now as I type this and we are almost finished with book 3)

We loved church from home and wish it could last forever.  Abby helped give a lesson here and Tyler held all the puppets with his "Foot"- which is his favorite word.

Darren works from home.  He had to dress up once or twice - at least dress up on the top half of his body.  He has very productive at his lunch breaks.  Our sprinklers work great and he built a bench for the patio.

Abby learned about Earth Day during on line school at home.  She cut up a tulip and made a diagram of the parts of a flower.  She spearheaded a clean up on Earth Day of the train tracks.  It was a hot day and lots of garbage was stuck in hard places but we did our best.

I love the colors of spring.  The different shades of green everywhere are amazing. We have been on electronics so much lately.  Abby made herself a phone and put it in a phone case.  One night I noticed it was "charging" by all the other phones.

Grateful for fun neighbors who got out a dunk tank one day to entertain kids.  We even made it to the cabin to help out one day.  I didn't get a picture of my childhood friend Tawnie Baldwin but we sure had a good time.

Biking.  Back Country Skiing. Cooking on the grill.  Ella learning to mow Jeanas field with the riding lawn mower.
