Cuba Part 2- Havana

September 9th and 10th

Sunday we left the small mountain town of Vinelas and head back to Havana.  We had a huge house all to our selves just out outside of the downtown area. We had an entire jungle for our backyard.  We walked into town for dinner and ate at an art museum.  Great food.  Then we walked the Malecon next to the ocean.  We stopped at a fun place for dessert and just kept walking until midnight.

Monday we woke up with a great breakfast served for us.  We enjoyed the hot showers and the air conditioning.  We met a tour guide who use to be a professor at the local university but he gets paid more doing private tours.  We got to ask him a million questions since he spoke great English. We walked until we were exhausted.  But he did show us some great sites and some great food!

I loved the old church and this really cool pharmacy.  The viles had all the different medicines in them.

The art work in Cuba is amazing.  This whole wall panel is made of sand.  Different colors of sand.  We bought .25 cent avocados and loved them.  We took them into our restaurant and they cute them up for us to enjoy.

So hot in Havana in September.  It's their non busy season for a reason.  We had lots of fun drinks trying to stay hydrated.

Tuesday-
Our last morning there we actually slept in.  It was so nice! Our drive drove us around so we could see a few more sites and then we got to go shopping.  We stopped at a big market and bought some things for our kids.
