August 2019

Trying to enjoy the last little bit of summer.  Road ride up Millcreek Canyon early one morning to support Katie who cant mnt bike since she broke some fingers.  We did some hiking also to support her! She was training for P2P race and needed to keep training between injuries.

Savage Lagoon Day is always a hit with the family.  It was hot and wet!  But we have enjoyed the hammocks in the backyard.  Darren keeps working on the outdoor kitchen.  The Pergola arrived so he could assemble it.   Very hot outside.

We visisted Great Grandma Harston and Aunt Linda.  The kids all brought piano songs to play for her.  She is still has witty as ever.  Ella and I spent some time at DPMS to get her prepared for the first day of middle school.  Opening a locker is harder than it looks.

The kids did a bake sale to purchase items for the refugee Eagle project Tyler was doing.  They sold lots of fun things and made some good money.

The first day of school was great.  We were all ready.  Abby couldn't wait to start first grade.  Ella starting 6th grade and Tyler doing 8th.  He wasn't at the high school at all this year.  Just another middle school for an early morning math class.  Thankfully I don't have to drive him! We celebrated with our favorite Crumbl cookies for dessert.  I got to go out to lunch with some friends to celebrate kids going back to school.

Our friend Dan got remarried.  I got to go to the temple to see them sealed.  Lots of emotions that day.  I was his only friend there.  There was a lovely party the night before the wedding.

The garden keeps growing.  Abby brought these sunflowers home in Kindergarten and they sure have grown.  We have lots of tomatoes, plums and lettuce.  The kids keep growing also!  Well check up all around.  They are healthy and happy.

Tyler has some good friends around town.  And with cousins living next door now we get to have fun all the time.  These guys decided to make crepes and boy was it a project.  Also, Tyler and Darren got out on some beautiful rides.  Darren took the kids to an iCup race one weekend.  Tyler got second place which was awesome.  He has been training like crazy.  The girls raced also with their friend Lauren.
