We loved staying at the Lake House in Maine! What a dream of a place. The house, the location, the people. The kids slept out in the Boat House almost every night. Abby tried to sleep out there too but she was just too tired and they stayed awake too late.
I may have commandeered the kitchen while I was there. Dans mom had a lovely kitchen with everything you could ever want in it. I just cooked and cooked and loved it! She had so much food her in pantry that I just made whatever I could with whatever she had. Ang showed up after a few days since she is dating Dans brother Ben. Lots of great music every day. It felt like family since we have know Dans family for almost 20 years.
We went blueberry hunting one day. We found bags of blackberries and blueberries. We also drove to New Hampshire one day to jump into the COLD "Emerald Pool". The trail was short and cold! So proud of Abby for jumping in with me. Tyler was awesome. We did do one big service project while in Maine. We stacked 4 "cords" of wood. So they should be set for a few years!
