China- Guilin to Yangshuo -Day 3

We flew into Gulin really really early in the morning.  We slept for a few hours at a hotel and found a bus that was suppose to take us to XingPing. As we followed on our maps on our phones we realized that they may indeed take us to XingPing but who knows when!  We got off in Yangshuo which was our final destination.  So no worries.  It was amazing to come into the town and see the mountains.  They were amazing.  We had a great hostel to stay in... right in the middle of the downtown area.  Darren had planned some  pretty awesome adventures so we headed out.

There is usually some sort of biking on a trip with Darren.  We got some fun bikes and headed out.  It wasn't raining too much.  The things you can see on a bike (or a scooter) are amazing.   Back roads, muddy roads, peoples lives in the country... getting lost because the map was upside down.  We did about 15 miles.  Lovely.  Darren took an off road mnt bike path with Kevin and ended up walking most of the way.  Serves them right for leaving us without telling us!

I know my limits so headed back to the hostel for a much needed nap.  Everyone else went an got massages.  Some of them were good massages and some of them were painful. My nap was great.

Then we headed out for dinner.  Not a lot of great options.  It all has a strong smell and usually has questionable ingredients... and mystery meat! Some people tried scorpion, larva, centipede, cricket... I had noodles.

The town of Yangshuo is amazing.  Small but not too small.  It was a party every night.  The whole town lights up.  They have made it have a great feel.  We had plenty of people want pictures of us throughout the trip.  Well... no one wanted a picture with Vy, she's asian!  She said she only felt a little bad!   Today was Abbys 5th Birthday, Vy's Daughters 1st Birthday and Tomorrow will be Brittany's birthday.  How fun.
