California Day 4 Disneyland/California Adventure

After the Hyatts house amazing breakfast we headed out again.  Such a fun day.  I loved the Tower of Terror ride.  What a fun drop.  Abby was a bit nervous after the fact.  I love that she is brave and wants to go on all the rides.  Abby got to meet a few princesses.  That was a highlight.  Ella loved them a lot more at her age but thats ok!

We all took another siesta nap late afternoon so we could ALL close down the park.  What a good time.  We finished out riding the Log Ride over and over and over again.  Abbys face expression the first time down was priceless.  But then of course she wanted to do it again and again.  I know it sounds crazy but two days wasn't enough this time.  We could have gone another day and still had more to see.  But we had enjoyed the time and not gone crazy.  We only used the stroller at night.  Abby passed out in it before we even got out of the park.  

California Day 3- Disneyland/California Adventure

We stayed at the Hyatt house just two blocks from Disney.  It was such a great location.   Each day we would head back to the hotel for a nap and food.  It made the day perfect.  Aunt Whit and Jason got all the kids necklaces so they could trade pins in the park.  Such a fun thing.

Abby couldn't go on all the rides but a lot of them.  Aunt Whit was so excited to see Cars land.  Jackson has always loved Cars.  We went back several times in the two days to see everything.  The Cars ride had to be one of our favorites.  

The first night Darren, Tyler and Ella shut down the park.  They had family with them too... but I didn't think they would make it.  Abby and I were back at the hotel sleeping.  They loved getting on all the rides fast without a line.  

California Day 2- Crystal Cove

We woke up pretty early.  Darren is always the goer in our family.  So we headed out to see the sun rise.  It was nice and cool outside, but warmer then Utah so we weren't complaining.  We chased some more waves and walked on the beach and alone the path.  I noticed Abby's curls in humidity.  Just like my sisters and I when we lived in Guam.  I loved the trees and especially the succulents.  I have a similar picture of my siblings on the island of Truk in a gazebo.  I am so lucky that I had so many adventures as a kid. 

We had a great breakfast and packed up.  We meet everyone for the first time at Crystal Cove.  So fun to have cousins together.  Siblings together.  So fun to have Nellie have a husband there.  

 A couple of my favorite pictures.  Darren flexing his muscles.  3 sons talking to their father on the beach.  3 happy couples walking hand in hand down the beach.  Everyone happy with life.  I seem to have lost the one with the 4 sisters walking down the beach... darn.  And a push up contest.

Disneyland- California w/ the Balls family

We were all so excited to head to California.  Ella is our decorator and creator.  She made a chain to help us all count down until the trip.  We got to fly on the same flight with Grandma and Grandpa.  Super grateful for finding really cheap tickets so we could fly.  

We got to LA and headed south to the beach.  Laguna beach and Crystal cove are some of our favorite places.  The water wasn't real warm at all.  But we chased waves and saw the tide pools.  I have pictures of Ella in very strange places doing flips... she just likes to be moving ... ALWAYS!

We had gotten the same hotel as Jason and Whit.  So we let the kids swim in the pool while we sat around and chatted.  We made a toast to kick off the trip.  Celebrating Whit being cancer free for 10 years.
