September 2016

It was good to be home and start school again.  I felt like I had been gone all summer!  Darren had some bike rides with friends and got to do some lego building at work.

The basement was getting closer to done.  Getting carpet made a huge difference.  The built ins were amazing.  Get electrical working was wonderful.  I could walk into my food storage room and the light turned on.  I didn’t have to use the lantern!

The kids went back to school and it was just Abby and I at home.  She did some fun preschool.  but still crashed sometimes.  The best is when she went behind the couch to say her prayer and fell asleep midway!

I love my beautiful girls.  Both in white for church.  doing their hair the same.  The produce from my bountiful garden (and my neighbhors extra’s). the flowers and plants in my yard.

Picking cherry tomatoes at Monts during preschool.  Taking time to do my hair once in a while.  Beautiful days out my back window.  The neighbors trampoline on top of my in laws pergola.  And my friends take me out to try sushi.  It wasn’t too bad, but they didn’t tell me what I was eating to that helped!

Tyler….Getting older (11) and bigger

I have been so glad that I could be part of Tylers Cub Scout life.  I have been in cub scouts since he started and was released when he got his Arrow of Light.  He was an amazing scout.  He loved getting things done.  He got A LOT of pins and belt loops in addition to his required things.
He moved on to another set of piano books.  He flies through his books but I dont mind spending the money since he enjoys it so much.  10 sets of books in about 5 years.

He also had a birthday.  We did family things this year.  It was nice to spend the day with him instead of a million friends!  He and Darren got killer seats at the Jazz game.  He played flag football.

He has been pretty blessed to play prelude and postlude sometimes in church, but he worked really hard and also played the closing hymn.  Come ye Children of the Lord.  It was great.  His 5th grade class got to go to the capital building and sing.  so… next year middle school… not ready for that!

Post wedding fun

We had a few fun days after the wedding to spend as a family.  Ranell and Jordan got a very special gift for Seth to thank him for all his contributions to the wedding.  He got to drive a street car train.  (he really likes trains).  It was just as exciting for the grandkids.

Jordans sweet family had a wonderful picnic in the park for us after the train ride.  We loved the sunny day.  We went to the mall of America to show the kids (the total craziness and excitement of the place). We went to church on Sunday to Ranell new ward.  We ran into a few people we knew.  We had some fun moments strolling along the beautiful lakes in Minnesota.  And finally when it was time to leave we said our good byes to a really great trip.  Abby finally fell asleep as we were landing in SLC!  of course!!!!

Ring Ceremony

I cant express enough how every detail of this wedding was so thought out and perfect.  The ring ceremony was perfect.  Jordan’s family aren’t members of the church so Ranell made the ring ceremony be every thing they could wish for a wedding for their son.

Every pictures makes me smile.  Those kids felt so special!

They couldn’t bring the huge piano out on the deck of the Marsh. so Tyler used a keyboard which was still beautiful.

Even preparing for the Ring ceremony.  Ranell took time to make Ella and Abby feel so special.  Tyler was secretly jealous  Im sure!  Abby had talked for months about being a flower girl and throwing pedals.  She was so exited for the moment.  She still has her basket and treasures it.
