October

October was a beautiful month.  We drove up the canyon one day and hiked around.  I wish I could have gotten out more on my bike since we live in such a great location.  Darren enjoyed the mountains and biked a ton.  The leaves were amazing.
Abby is still growing up.  She tells me all the time, sit mom.  sit.  She wants me to be with her and play with her.  I am trying to be good at this.  But it is too easy to be busy with my long list of things to do.  She sits on my lap and eats my food- eggs, yogurt, salad...  We do lots of laundry and she likes me to pull her around in the laundry basket.  She takes care of her babies. Feeding them food and wrapping them up in blankets.  She loves everything about Ella.  She walks around wearing Ellas clothes and high heel Sunday shoes.  And she love to crawl in to my zipper jackets.  She even was mad this morning when I didn't have a zipper jacket on.  Just a hoodie.  She wanted a zipper!

In October we planted lots of  trees.  That means- researching and choosing them, then finding them at different nurserys, then buying them, then getting them home, then planting them with a shovel and pick ax.  It was such an exciting thing.  I loved it. And I hope in the fall I have 15+ trees blooming in my yard! Tyler made some yummy crepes one night.  I made some yummy chicken with mozzerella and fresh basil.  (Darren was kind, but wouldn't eat it.... chicken is gross to him)

We had such warm weather we played out side a lot.  We love our neighbors, Journey and Jagar.
Abby wants to sit in Ellas car seat, wear Ellas clothes and sleep in her bed.  Ella wrote a sweet story about our dog Toby at school.  It says, I love my pet.  But he slipped so he went to the hospital.  Then he died.  We still love him. We remember him.  We like going on walks.  He was a good pet.  Go get it.  We went to the park.  I love Toby.  He was my favorite pet.

We also went to Logan one weekend.  Pat and Seth had a million apples.  No joke.  so many I called my friend who is was Logan and she hauled 10ish boxes back to our house. Because we couldn't even fit stuff in our car.

Halloween was a success.  Ella was a zombie.  Tyler was a Jedi.  We went tricker treating at Darrens work, with Aunt Linda and in our neighborhood.  Then headed to Lehi for a friend Halloween party.  Plenty of good treats.

Dentist visits- Tyler's tongue and Ella's tooth

Lots of pictures for a silly post but it was kind of a big deal for our little family.

Ella had her baby tooth and an adult tooth in.  So she had to get the baby tooth pulled.  She also had to get sealants put on her molars that came in.  See... not tough procedures.  But the Dentist was the tough part.  Our usual dentist was booked out for a month, and me in my "lets get things done and crossed off my list" thinking, said... well we will just use the other doctor.  ARGH!  He wasn't patient or kind ... even a little tiny bit.  Poor Ella was in tears and she had the gas over her nose to help her to be calm.  She recovered quickly but doesn't ever want to have that dentist again.

Tyler on the other hand had a "coupled" tongue.  He has never been able to stick his tounge out far.  (or nurse when he was a baby) and it wasn't just a little tiny bit attached ---it was full on stuck in their really good.  Same story.  He was brave and excited to get the procedure done. But I dont think the Dentist really knew what to do .  and it was a hot laser he was using. and he was so mean about it all.  At one point I was ready to tell him to stop talking to my children that way and get my kids and leave.  ARGH!!!

We stopped and got ice-cream after which was ok.. but Tyler bit his tongue really hard... and really bad because it was still numb.  and after two days of pain and not being able to eat and taking motrin all the time and not wanting to talk because it hurt so bad, and me feeling terrible because I should have just waited for the good doctor... we headed back in to the dentist.  The good dentist saw us immediately and told us to be patient and wait a few more days and he would feel better.  This quick  check up visit was right during Tyler's Halloween Party ... thats how bad it was.  He was in so much pain two days later that he skipped his party to go back to the dentist.  ARGH!

Cub Scouts

I told the Primary president when we moved into this ward that I had loved doing scouts in my old area.  She said they needed another leader and I was thrilled.  I work with Jill who is great.  She is teaching the boys about flags and Abby is in red sitting right in the middle of the boys.  Ella and Abby come and hang out with me every week.
We had a big Halloween party.  Lots of fun activities.  I love that I get to be with Tyler, learn about scouts and take my girls.  Abby wanted to try them all.  Even the bobbing apples.

This was the funniest game.  Abby was so upset that she couldn't reach the donut.  And that Ella was eating it without her.

Spotlight on Abby

I have been adding pictures to this post for 3 months now... and I think I better just publish it so I won't add anymore.  But I'm home with Abby J. all day and so we spend a lot of time together.  (except for that beloved 2 hour nap!)  but its fun to scroll though these photos and see her hair get longer,  Her face looks more grown up... she tells me now she is a big girl and not a baby.  Abby will be our little miracle baby forever.  We are so grateful for her in our family.  She is so lucky to have Tyler and Ella who adore her.  And trust me... she adores them right back!

Abby found her nose.... She sits at the big table now.  No more high chair.

She likes to comb her hair, even if it is already done and she is just messing it up... and she tends to get brushes and combs stuck in it.
I adore crazy bread from Little Ceasers.  And so I HAD to teach Abby (and my other children) this love also.  Yum!  She signs... more more more!
Abby likes to crawl under my sink and tear apart everything that is under there.  Her hiding place . She also knows what treats are now.  This sucker was as big as her mouth and she just drooled all over her shirt until she was a complete sticky mess.

She likes to copy what others do.  Daddy mops, so Abby J mops.  Tyler and Ella sit and read, so Abby J does too.  (Those are precious moments!)  We go hiking with a camelback on and so when we get home she wants one too.  If Ella wears a hat or a helmet... Abby has to also.

Abby loves her Daddy.  She loves mommy to put her to bed, but she loves her Daddy. She runs to him every day when he comes home.  And likes to talk to him on the phone.

She is adorable.  Her hair grows so fast.  Tyler and Ella had no hair for a long time.
Abby is all girl.  She started with my little ponies and has since moved on to baby dolls.  She carries them around, loves them, smothers them in blankets and pushes them in strollers.  She loves to feed them and take care of them.  I look at photos of my nephew marshall who loves cars... and I see... Girls and boys are different.  different and unique.
We wish she would never grown up.  But she is.  She has her personality.  She is starting to get sassy. If we turn on the blender to make a shake she yells no mom.  no.  (its too loud for her) She has her mind now and she lets you know.  We LOVE her! (more than she loves her monkey, blanket, and binkie!)
