We are all feeling better

College friends - Pam, Tiff, new mom Rachael (her baby shower) and me!

No one is throwing up all over and we are sleeping better at night- I sure love that!

We are sanding our kitchen/front room floors this week and staining them a darker color- even getting a new table for our kitchen that can seat more than 4 people- we are excited!

on a side note- Our ward is doing a great humanitarian project- They are collecting yarn for the prison and the Humanitarian Center- So here is a shout out! If you live close by and want me to come get your old yarn, new or half way gone- let me know! (since I don't have any and want to contribute more than the ones I can buy!)

and since I was there 2 gallons of milk

30 minutes later I cleaned up

- clear gatorade

any guesses!

and no I am not pregnant! (but I am going to take a nap- to many long nights!)

Great freezer/Crockpot Recipe

I made this on Sunday and it was sure good.

Crockpot Creamy Chicken

2 cans of cream of chicken ( I used one mushroom one chicken since we like cream of mushroom- it was great!)
8 oz of cream cheese
1 pkg of dry Italian salad dressing mix
5-7 chicken breasts

Combine first three ingredients really well. Layer with frozen or defrosted chicken in crock pot. 5-6 hours on low or 3-4 hours in high. Freeze leftovers in a ziplock and you can reheat later for another meal. Serve over rice.

The sauce was so yummy and creamy. I loved having all the extra sauce to go over the rice.

The best date ever!

We haven't taken many pictures lately but I wanted to highlight some of our late events:

- New Years with people from Massachusetts, Colorado, and Idaho. Great to have friends together. A few days of food, fun, sledding and crazy kids!

- Skiing a nice day of some powder with Darren and Ang!

- Taking Tyler skiing and make it down 2 runs in an hour and a half!

- Ella waking herself up slowly singing twinkle twinkle

- Signing up for a half marathon on April 17th with Nettie- anyone is invited to run with us!

- Ella just walking into nursery today- no crying, no sadness, just happy as could be.

- Seeing a friend, Tawnie, who I have know for 22 years- That is old!

- and our amazing date yesterday

Details:
- rented cross country skis from REI for 8$ each,
- drove to top of Millcreek Canyon with two other couples and 2 dogs
- Skied almost 9 miles total to the upper parking lot
- Ate delicious cold Chipolte burrito at the top! (Thanks Dale and Marlene)
- then whizzed down in top speed to relieve my dad from babysitting
Thanks Dad for a great birthday present! My dad watched our kids for almost 6 hours! (and Ella didn't/wouldn't take a nap) There are many amazing gifts in the world but I sure think spending time is my favorite, whether it be hanging out, or a project together. I appreciate him sacrificing his Saturday to spend with his Grandkids!
